Trusting is seeing

If there's anything about life thats makes sense is that it doesn't, at least thats how crazy circumstances and or sneaky successes can make us feel sometimes. Only if we could understand right? Those millions of questions that cruise through our minds day by day, can take us around the universe and back with nothing really accomplished other than were just plain old tired. As God has taken me around the world for the last 4 years serving Him and now facilitating the Rhythm Leadership Development, He has brought me along with eight other amazing individuals to 6 countries in Central America. I've come to the truth that God is once again in control. As much as we can try to decipher why clouds form the way they do or why we sleep good one night and not the other, there are many moments where our response should sound something more like the birds we hear in the morning. A clear and cut throat example is lived out by our dear friend Job in the Bible. He was faced with the radical reality that he was but man, and that meant that he could only see as far as he could climb. In other words, we could say what separates the men from the boys are those who are totally content with the view.

As we only have two more weeks left in Central America our hearts are far from forgetting the things that God has reveled to each one of us. We have seen eyes opened to God's faithful hope, hearts overwhelmed with supernatural comfort, and souls introduced into a kingdom that will never fail. We started in Belize and worked our way down through Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and in a few weeks Panama. Before we left we learned leadership principles by various teachers and applied the lessons as much as we could. While we have been out on the "field" all those lessons have become quickly a reality. Now that this section of this two year program is coming to a end, we are getting ready for the month long Promo tour as we send the Rhythm team to Texas and our home Southern California. We are so very encouraged by all ya all who have been such a support while we continue to be lead by the Heart Beat of God. Your prayers have NOT been in vain and we very much are banking on them. I wanted to update ya all about where ive been for the last 2 ish months if you even knew I was gone. Its probably my fault if you didn't. I am co leading a group of leaders in training who are traveling thought all of Central America. It has been such a privilege to live alongside such amazing and gifted individuals. We started in Belize and have worked our way down through Honduras, Guatamala, El Salvador, and now in Nicaragua. God has been so good to us in providing in all manners. There has never been a dull moment nor has there been a whole lot of room for us to live by our own strength. We have seen the lost souls become found, the weak strengthened, and the hopeless comforted. We have met so many amazing people who have been a huge part of us learning how to follow our savior closer. Thank you so much for your support in praying for us, we have needed it tremedously. Life n Sacrifice

I've found my self crusading against the doubt that we are to just live life. However, the God shaped hole that has been filled by His grace has giving me reason to fight that life is much more than just living. We see hundreds of people walking around daily, thousands of people weekly, and millions of people as the years pass by. Are they thinking the same thing?

There is something about Jesus telling us to take up the very thing that killed Him "the cross". If we love our life we will lose it . When sacrifice is placed on the table every one leaves to try and fill there bellies with laxatives. The fullness of life is giving up what we love, ourselves. Without sacrifice there is no life. Honestly I am scared at times but, I want to live nothing short of a full crazy life.

Rhythm Leadership Development

This new year has been an exiting yet mysterious one. Going on 26 years young I now more than ever want to get a promising career that I know that I can support a family that I don't have and pay a mortgage on a house that I dream of (that I don't have). This has always been a struggle for me after all we do live in a materialistic looney town called America.

There is more to life than just living. I have to believe this because my God on earth lived for much more that the newest ipod or latest tv show. Not to say that I don't love to vegg out or win american idol in my car. Our God is Big and I want to live big.

So now God has placed me in the business of raising up men and women to be and do what God has created them to do. To lead a generation into an internal and fulfilled life of oneness with the Big man up stairs. We are stoked (exited) to see what God will do with us. Who is us? It's RYTHM LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT consisted of right now 9 (including myself and Darline Rodriguez who are directing the program) men and women who want to live for more than them selves. The name "Rhythm" is from the idea of "Abide in Jesus and it's all good" We are to be in tuned with the heart beat of God then go. Its a 8 month program with a year of opportunity in 2011 where we will be launching teams out into all the earth. There will be more coming, much much more so please stay tuned to what God is going to do.
